| Emily Lewis, violin Born in Boulder, CO, Emily began her musical studies on the piano at five years old halfway around the world in Nagoya, Japan. Upon returning to the United States at the age of nine, she switched to the violin. While in high school, Emily became a founding member of the Turina String Quartet. The quartet performed extensively in Kansas and in Nebraska and England while on tour with the Gold Orchestra, a youth orchestra from Manhattan, KS. Throughout college and graduate school, Emily had extensive string chamber music experience, and also enjoyed collaborating with other instrumentalists, including performing the Brahms horn trio four separate times. In 2006, Emily played with renowned violinist Chee-Yun and clarinetist Anthony McGill in Lucca, Italy. Currently, Emily is the first violinist of the MEO String Quartet in Boulder, CO. She is also an orchestral musician, presently playing with the Fort Collins and Cheyenne Symphonies and formerly the Madison Symphony. Emily graduated in 2006 from the University of Colorado with a Master of Music. She studied with Jennifer John, serving as her graduate assistant. She also studied with violinist Ed Dusinberre of the Takacs Quartet, and violist Erika Eckert. Emily received her Bachelor of Music degree in music education in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying with Tyrone Grieve, and served as the UW Symphony concertmaster for two years. When not playing the violin, Emily is frequently found out riding her bicycle, or hiking in the mountains. She also enjoys yoga, salsa dancing, and dreaming of traveling to other parts of the world.

Chris Short, violin A native of Syracuse, New York, Chris earned a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Ithaca College. After moving to Boulder she entered the University of Colorado as a student of Jennifer John. She recently graduated with a Master of Music in Violin Performance. In the summer of 2005, she was chosen as a teaching assistant at Brevard Music Center in North Carolina. There she was responsible for working with high school students and running first-violin sectionals for the Transylvania Symphony. Chris is a member of the Greeley Philharmonic and the Cheyenne Symphony, and is assistant principal second violin with the Fort Collins Symphony. She also teaches private lessons and is an active freelance performer in the Denver metro area.

| Megan Edrington, viola Megan Edrington is a violist and teacher in the Boulder/Denver-Metro area. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Viola Performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder as a student of Erika Eckert. As a 2006 Symphony and Opera Academy of the Pacific participant, Megan studied with Eric Soucy and served as principal viola. Before moving to Colorado, Megan was the orchestra director at Glenridge Middle School in Orlando, Florida. During her tenure the orchestra program received recognition for their high standard of excellence through the participation in music performance assessments. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Florida State University studying with Dr. Pamela Ryan and Karen Clarke. Megan teaches privately and performs with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, and Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. In her spare time Megan enjoys hiking with her husband and anything else that involves spending time in the great oudoors.

Megan Titensor, cello
With ten years of performing and teaching experience, Megan Titensor is a highly qualified professional cellist and educator. Megan recently finished her Master’s degree in Cello Performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder. There, she studied with Judith Glyde as well as András Fejér of the Takács Quartet. Megan earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Utah State University where she studied with Anne Francis of the Fry Street Quartet. While at Utah State she gained valuable experience as a soloist and chamber musician and performed in masterclasses for some of the world’s most respected musicians, such as Paul Katz, Carter Brey, and the Vermeer and Cavani Quartets. Also an accomplished pianist, Megan has extensive experience as a performer and collaborator, enabling her to accompany her own students. Megan teaches privately at Golden Music Center, Shining Mountain Waldorf School, and in the greater Boulder area. She also teaches early childhood music and movement classes for the Music Playhouse in Boulder. Megan also enjoys exploring Colorado’s outdoors whether it’s backcountry skiing at Berthoud Pass, climbing the Flatirons, or hiking new trails.
